Of giving and receiving

November 18th, 2010

We like receiving gifts and actually this is in our nature to present and receive gifts to and from our relatives, friends and from colleagues as well. This is not just a sign of respect – this is a sign of care. And usually when we group up we do not care much about the value of the gift and about its practical value but we care about the attention we dedicate to other people and for sure we all adore if you are picked up from the crowd and are given gifts as well. The same situation is in the world of business: if you like your boss and you like the way he treats you – you will be glad to present him some gifts for his birthday or for Christmas. And vice versa when you are a chief executive officer you will definitely care about your employees as you value them, as you value their asset to the company and you want them to be happy as well. Usually besides the souveniers employees receive from the director there are other things like swimming-pool membership or gym card or SPA resort ticket – any so-called “heathcare bonus” that will be beneficial to the employer as well – the employees will always be in a good mood and will have a strong health. Also business gifts may be tickets to concerts, movies, even to Onlinetradeexpo Trade Shows – all such events that carry a lot of visitors. And what is more the major players on the market of providing custom products like Branders, Motivators and RushImprint that provide business gifts to anyone who want to catch up with the competitors and become a progressive and wise employer. This is usually done at various trade shows and exhibitions.

boss and worker 300x214 Boss And Co Workers Are Not FamilyNobody know where that thinking began but I think that it happened because of television. In the shows you watch nowadays, the characters are even more supportive rather than your own family. There is a simple reason for this,  television shows do not have more budget for more actors. In real life, no matter how much you got paid, how much you love your job, it is still a job. You will provide a service when you work for someone, that is simply because you are paid to do  that.

When I hear somebody say that the company is  just like a family,  I think it is just a lie. You are family if you can borrow some money without paying it back, or do not come to work for 15 days and still have the job, or go home everyday after you eat lunch.
